Dear Family,

Ms. Jacobs was my 2nd grade teacher from 1992 - 1993 in P.S. 316. Today I thought about her and decided to google her name and that led me here. Ms. Jacobs had a major impact on my life, mainly because she believed in me. She worked with me, she worked with my mom, she helped us. Ms. Jacobs was special, she did things for my family and I that teachers wouldn't do, and now that I've read it all, it makes sense, because Ms. Jacobs was a believer in Christ. It was 30 years ago and I remember her like it was yesterday, our class was 2-231. I came from a broken home, and Ms. Jacobs encouraged me and made me feel important! I've always missed her, but today I miss her even more. I express my deepest condolences from myself and my mother. I am happy to say that I've experienced Ms. Jacobs as a teacher, surely she was one in a million.

Dear Ina and Family,
I was so happy to be able to attend the homegoing service of my dear friend, Nina M. Jacobs. I have known her and your father, the late Rev. Dr. Clarence Jacobs since 1964. From that time until their deaths, they were two of my CLOSEST friends and mentors. They were the truest examples of what it means to be Christians. My wish now is for you and the family to find solace and comfort in knowing that they are with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the peace and sovereignty of God be with you and in you, knowing that "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning". Rev. & Mrs. Glyne W. Mascoll and family.

To the family of Mrs. Jacobs.  My sincerest condolences for the loss of your mom.  She was a very special person and very well respected in the p.s. 316 Community. My name is Margarite Hunt. I worked with Mrs. Jacobs @ 316 for many years. I remember walking into the school office for the very first time, nervous worried, scared to death and very anxious. Nina comforted me and told me everything will fall into place and not to worry. She sat with me and showed me how to take attendance in a delany book. Wow!! That's been obsolete for so long. Lol.  Mrs. Jacobs had patience of a saint. She comforted me and kept me going another day! Well, I spoke to Mrs. Jacobs in July and she wished me well on my vacation.   I will never forget her.  Rest in Peace Mrs. Nina Jacobs. You will forever be in my heart!! xoxo

Dear Ina and family, I wish I could be there to celebrate this home going. I have fond memories of my God-Mother through the years, especially the latter ones. As I continued to mature I understood and valued her words of wisdom even more. She often reminded me of my parents' sacrifice to come to this country and how I must take advantage of the opportunities afforded me which they did not have.These words meant more to me as I grew older and had a family of my own. We grew even closer after I relocated to Louisville, KY. Indianapolis was her home town and we often spoke of her childhood and memories of her father bringing her to Louisville for the KY Derby. Find strength in knowing that she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May God be with you all during this time. We will continue to cover the family in prayer. -Donald Myers Jr.

Dear Ina and Family:  Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, with the loss of your dear Mother, Nina. She was such a special lady to me and so many others at HOPE Church. She will be missed at HOPE, Wednesday Women Bible Study and the Ladies Lunch Bunch group. I will always remember her beautiful smile when I would call her Miss Nena/Nina and she would laugh.
I'm glad that she got to go back to Florida where she wanted to be. Please know I will keep you and your family in my prayers at this time. Miss Nina is at peace now. May God Bless you all and He will be with you throughout your time of grieving.
