Lucas, Robert A., 83, of Davie, Florida formerly of Clifton, New Jersey peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Robert was born on January 23, 1933 in Passaic, New Jersey and raised in Clifton. Robert joined the Army in 1953 and served overseas. Upon his discharge in 1955, he returned to Clifton.
He married soon after leaving the Army and had three sons. He would have celebrated his 61st wedding anniversary on May 28, 2016. In the early sixties, Bob started R&C Lucas Aluminum Siding and was an exterior home improvements contractor throughout Northern New Jersey. He moved to Davie, Florida in 1978 and built the home of his dreams. He loved football, especially The University of Miami. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Constance V. Lucas and his three sons, Robert F. Lucas (Rosalind) of Hollywood, Florida, Frank R. Lucas (Sandra) of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Paul D. Lucas of Davie, Florida and one granddaughter, Sofia Lucas of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He loved Clifton and his family. Robert was a great man who will be missed by all who knew him.
