Ron was born in Morgantown, WV on July 21, 1952 to Anthony Lawrence LaNeve and Cora Elizabeth Pugh. He grew up in a very large and close-knit extended family in Newell, WV where he was the first-born of a generation of twenty-seven LaNeve cousins. After high school he worked more than twenty-five years for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, rising from certified master technician to regional manager of the Northeast Division.
Upon early retirement, Ron moved to Florida where he eventually met and married Michelle Simone, the love of his life and best friend. Together they shared a passion for life and adventure, becoming inseparable in business ventures, travel, and community volunteerism. A boy scout leader for more than 20 years, and youth basketball coach, he was beloved and respected by the countless young people that he mentored. Most recently, he was the proud leader of a successful real estate team in South Florida that included his wife and youngest son, Sam, where Ron counseled and trained new agents.

Ron lived life unashamedly on his own terms. With his big heart, he loved those he knew deeply and honestly, spending his entire life as everyone's fiercest protector. He never hesitated to open his heart, his home, and his life to anyone who needed a hand, positively impacting innumerable lives. Anyone who ever met him knew he was truly a force of nature.
Ron was an avid outdoorsman, mountaineer, and camper who was most at home in nature. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in his name as a living memorial. Visit https://www.alivingtribute.org
