Ron was born in Miami to Ferris and Mattie Lunsford on July 14, 1942. He married Ann Parker on January 14, 1961, in Fort Lauderdale. He was the owner of Lunsford Plastering and MRC General Contractors and worked in the building industry for many years. He was an active and involved member of the Wilton Manors community, participating in a variety of volunteer roles.
Ron loved racing and restoring classic cars. He also enjoyed taking frequent trips to Las Vegas and following NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; his two children, Kevin and Rhonda; his brother, Mervin; and his grandchildren, Xander and Olivia.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home on September 19, with viewing at 10:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m., and burial at Evergreen Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
