

Born in Jamaica, Dr. Sheryl R. Facey carried within her a spirit of warmth, resilience, and quiet strength. From an early age, her compassion and brilliance were evident, guiding her toward a life devoted to medicine and service. She trained at Mount Sinai in New York and went on to faithfully serve as an OB-GYN in South Florida for more than 20 years. With steady hands and a gentle heart, she brought countless babies into the world, standing beside families during some of their most sacred and transformative moments.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sheryl’s greatest joy and proudest role was being a devoted mother to her beloved daughters, Christal and Christin. Whether cheering at track meets or instilling in them the importance of education, integrity, and perseverance, she showed up wholeheartedly in every season of their lives. Her love was active, intentional, and unwavering.
Sheryl was a devoted wife, loving daughter, cherished sister, treasured aunt, trusted mentor, and dear friend. She gave freely of her time, offered wisdom and encouragement without hesitation, and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and supported. Known for her genuinely caring spirit and wholehearted nature, Sheryl lived a life marked by grace, generosity, and deep, abiding love.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Christopher; her daughters, Christal and Christin; her mother, Monica; her father, Raymond; her brother, Rickie; her sisters Michelle and Laurice; her niece, Kadjah; as well as her aunts, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, friends, colleagues, and the many patients whose lives she touched with exceptional care and compassion.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she delivered, the family she nurtured, and the countless hearts she inspired. Rest in eternal peace, dear Dr. Sheryl R. Facey. Your brilliance, kindness, and love will forever echo in our hearts
Funeral service will be held at Metropolitan Baptist Church, located at 7200 Davie Road Extension, Hollywood, FL 33024, on February 21, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. With committal to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, located at 2401 Davie Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317, at 12:00 pm.
