Sixto Domingo Hernandez

Sixto Domingo Guarionex Hernández was born in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic on August 15, 1955 to Sixto Ramon and Eva Esteñia Hernandez. He was the second of three children. Sixto departed this life for eternal rest on September 16, 2020 at the age of 65.

Sixto (Mingolin or Mingo) was a very loving son, father, bother and friend to many. Mingo always had a great sense of humor. He always had a smile on his face. In every room that he was in, it was filled with laughter. Mingo was a happy person and a jokester. He had such a love for music. He always wanted to make sure that everyone around him had a good time.

He was the best brother anyone could ever ask for. Whenever support was needed, he was always there. Whether it was financial, spiritual or roof over their head, he was always there. He was that type of person. His door was always open for family and friends alike.

Mingo received his formal education from Louis D. Brandeis High School in New York City, New York. After graduation, he took a 6-month training course in computer technology that started his love for computers. Upon competition, Mingo started his career at Raytheon Technologies in Long Island, New York. There he was responsible for building computer motherboards. In 1981, he was transferred to Modcom Corporation located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he worked for 23 years. In 2004, Mingo began to work for the Ft. Lauderdale International Airport before transferring to the Broward County Library System.

Mingo was a man of God. Everything he saw was through the eyes of the Lord. He gave advice of life and love, not just to family members, but to many others that came across his path. He was a member of the San Isidro Marriage and Juvenile Group Ministry where he became a leader and a loyal contributor to the church’s initiatives for over 30 years.

Mingo is survived by his loving wife Ana D. Hernández of whom were married for over 44 years; his children Rene Danger (Amin), Lorraine Forbes (Errol) and Andy (Paola); his grandchildren Mateo, Elyssa, Nicolas, and Alexander; his siblings Magdalena Taveras (Antonio), Celeste and Ramon (Anna), his mother Eva and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mingo was preceded in death by his grandmother Aurora “Goga” Moquete, his father Sixto Ramon Hernández and his uncle Pablo Then.

You will be missed dearly. We love you and we know in our hearts that the Lord has you by his side because you have always told us so.

Sixto Domingo Guarionex Hernández nació en San Cristóbal, República Dominicana el 15 de agosto de 1955, hijo de Sixto Ramón y Eva Esteñia Hernández. Era el segundo de tres hijos. Sixto partió de esta vida para el descanso eterno el 16 de septiembre de 2020 a la edad de 65 años.

Sixto (Mingolin o Mingo) fue un hijo muy cariñoso, padre, hermano y amigo de muchos. Mingo siempre tuvo un gran sentido del humor. Siempre tenía una sonrisa en la cara. En cada habitación en la que estaba, estaba lleno de risas. Mingo era una persona feliz y un bromista. Tenía un gran amor por la música. Siempre quiso asegurarse de que todos a su alrededor se diviertan.

Era el mejor hermano que uno podía pedir. Siempre que se necesitaba apoyo, siempre estaba allí. Ya fueran financieros, espirituales o de techo sobre su cabeza, siempre estaba allí. Era ese tipo de persona. Su puerta siempre estaba abierta para la familia y los amigos por igual.

Mingo recibió su educación formal de la Escuela Secundaria Louis D. Brandeis en la ciudad de Nueva York, Nueva York. Después de graduarse, tomó un curso de capacitación de 6 meses en tecnología informática que comenzó su amor por las computadoras. Tras la competencia, Mingo comenzó su carrera en Raytheon Technologies en Long Island, Nueva York. Allí fue responsable de la construcción de placas base de computadoras. En 1981, fue transferido a Modcom Corporation ubicada en Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, donde trabajó durante 23 años. En 2004, Mingo comenzó a trabajar para el Aeropuerto Internacional de Ft. Lauderdale antes de transferirse al Sistema de Bibliotecas del Condado de Broward.

Mingo era un hombre de Dios. Todo lo que vio fue a través de los ojos del Señor. Dio consejos de vida y amor, no sólo a los miembros de la familia, sino a muchos otros que se encontraron en su camino. Fue miembro del Ministerio del Grupo de Matrimonio y Juvenil de San Isidro, donde se convirtió en un líder y un colaborador leal a las iniciativas de la iglesia durante más de 30 años.

Mingo es sobrevivido por su amorosa esposa Ana D. Hernández, con quien estuvo casado por más de 44 años; sus hijos Rene Danger (Amin), Lorraine Forbes (Errol) y Andy (Paola); sus nietos Mateo, Elyssa, Nicolás y Alexander; sus hermanos Magdalena Taveras (Antonio), Celeste y Ramón (Anna), su madre Eva y una gran cantidad de sobrinas, sobrinos, tías y primos. Mingo fue precedido en la muerte por su abuela Aurora "Goga" Moquete, su padre Sixto Ramón Hernández y su tío Pablo Then.

Te echarán mucho de menos. Te amamos y sabemos en nuestro corazón que el Señor te tiene a su lado porque siempre nos lo has dicho.
