

Spencer Brian Howard was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies, along with his twin brother, Kris, to Samuel and Erlene Howard. Spencer left Trinidad after graduating from Queens Royal College (QRC) in order to further his education.
Spencer is an alumnus of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa when he graduated with a B.Sc. in Mathematics. He then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He remained at the University of North Carolina for his specialty training, earning his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
After receiving his OMFS certificate, Spencer went into private practice in Durham, North Carolina and was also an adjunct faculty member at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and a sub-specialty physician at Wake Medical Center in Cary, NC. Spencer later practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery at Smile Design Manhattan and North East Implant and Oral Surgery, both in New York.
Spencer was an active member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He was passionate about his family, friends, his home country of Trinidad and Tobago, soccer, intellectual debate, his work, as well as his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Spencer is survived by his wife of 15 years, Ellison Howard, his three children, Spencer Brian Howard, II (10), Ellison Spencer Howard (8), Essien Spencer Howard (7), his parents, Samuel Howard and Erlene Howard, his twin brother Kris Howard, his sister-in-law, Gizelle Howard, and a host of other family members and close friends. Spencer will truly be missed.
