Stephen Lewis Miner Sr.

Stephen was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Paul and Ruth Miner on June 7, 1941. He moved to Ft Lauderdale when he was 3 years old. He graduated from Ft Lauderdale High School and St Cloud State University in Minnesota, where he met his beloved wife Florence. They married on September 4, 1965 in Floodwood, Minnesota. After living for 2 years in Vassar, Michigan, they moved to Ft Lauderdale, where Stephen worked as a history teacher for 33 years, and earned his MS and EdS degrees from Nova Southeastern. He retired in 1998, allowing him more time for travel, watching football, and spending time with his family.

Stephen is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Jr and James, his mother, Ruth and his father, Paul Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife Florence, his children, Molly, Elizabeth (Tom) Reeder, and Stephen Jr (Melissa), and his grandchildren, TJ, Jack, Stephen III, and Lindsey.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 3rd with visitation at 9:30am and service immediately following at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 718 South Federal Hwy, Ft Lauderdale.
