Timothy R. Keating

Tim was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 7, 1942, the son of Lynford Keating and Frances (Fitzgerald) Keating. Graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic school in Fort Lauderdale, he worked for AT&T, formerly Bell South, where he retired from after 30 years of employment. In his retirement, Tim served as Board President for his condo association, was in real estate, spent several years in elderly care, and was trained as a disaster relief volunteer. He dedicated himself to serving in several capacities for Alcoholics Anonymous for nearly 30 years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Lynford Keating, mother Frances Keating, and his brother Thomas Keating. Survivors include his son Timothy (Becky) Keating Jr. of Muncie, IN, John (Josephine) Keating, of Punta Gorda, FL, former spouse and friend Lenora Keating of Port Charlotte, FL, grandson Alec Keating, granddaughter Julia Keating, granddaughter Megan Keating, and brother Mike Keating.

A memorial gathering will be held at Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 10:00 AM to noon with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 10 a.m.
