It is with heartfelt remembrance that I honor Timothy "Tim" Francis Long, age 76, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, who passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Tim lived a life defined by hard work, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those he served and led.

For many years, Tim was a dedicated and respected manager at the Sweden House restaurant in South Miami, Florida, where he became a familiar and trusted presence to staff and guests alike. His leadership style blended steady guidance with genuine care - qualities that inspired loyalty and admiration from me and the team. Tim believed in treating every person with dignity, making sure the restaurant felt not just like a workplace, but like a family. Under his stewardship, I fondly remember my days working as a bus-boy at the Sweden House restaurant.

I fondly remember Tim's warm greetings, attention to detail, and the pride he took in ensuring every guest's visit was memorable. Whether solving problems with calm confidence or offering words of encouragement during a busy shift, Tim brought steadiness and heart to every day.

Beyond his professional life, Tim will be remembered for his quiet strength and his leadership abilities. His legacy lives on in me as a teacher, friend, and a mentor. 

As I reflect on Tim's life, I  honor a man who led with compassion, worked with integrity, and shared himself generously with his staff. Tim’s impact on me will not be forgotten, and I will carry his memory forward with friendship and gratitude.

I recently came upon a letter that Hank wrote to his parents his freshman year in college at FSU where he talked about Tim.  Hank passed away February 23 this year due to complications of pulmonary fibrosis after many years of disability from a spinal cord injury in 2001. We have been living in Goodland Fl. And Alabama over the past 15 years since Hank retired from the DEA.  I think he and Tim talked occasionally and I know Hank had a lot of respect for Tim.  He saw him quite some too when we lived in Miami years ago. Hopefully they are seeing each other again!  Marti Spence

Tim, I was so saddened to hear about your passing. We had just spoken on January 28th and you sounded well, looking for a vaccine slot, as I was getting ready for my first one.
Thanks for your mentorship and friendship over the years.
I always enjoyed our conversations, FDU football, Sweden House, Cami's and all of the memories from your past work relationships.
You always paused to ask about my family and I will miss this very much. You were the first one to visit me during my multiple surgeries during the past 15 years and introduced me to the wedge salad at Outback in Miami Lakes!
Your Daughter and Son were always in the conversation as well as your beloved Cheryl. You always mentioned her in a very loving way, you truly loved your Spouse Cheryl.

Tim and worked together at Henry Lee and up until his well deserved retirement. I have always had the most respect for Tim, he always took the time to teach his skills to others and cared for his co workers. I can attribute much of my success and knowledge of Foodservice sales from working and learning from Tim. He was always kind, caring and often  spoke about his beloved family and always showed interest and care for my family.
Sorry for the loss, our prayers go to Cheryl and the family .
