

Vince was a kind-hearted and selfless individual who always put his family above all else and in return was given a family deserving of his love. His happy and easy going nature made him well liked and loved by everyone he met. This attitude earned him many life long friends over the years. Whenever he was needed by family, he always had something to offer and never once hesitated to do so. He was so quick to give to others because the only thing with true value in his life was his family. Vince's outward affection towards others made everyone feel like family.
Vince, the son of Frank and Josephine Zarra was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. He was raised along with his three siblings; Connie, Carmella and Frank, of which he was the oldest. It was through his sister Connie that Vince met the love of his life, Dottie. On October 10th, 1954 Vince and Dottie exchanged wedding vows at St. Rocco's Church in Newark, New Jersey. Soon after, they moved to Florida to start their new life together as husband and wife. Vince and Dottie were blessed with three children; Danny, Donna and Dennis. They were blessed additionally with four grandchildren; Devin, Jenna, Ryan and Heather. Vince worked as a general contractor for over 50 years and built many homes and structures but most importantly, he helped build a great life for his wife and three children. Vince was a great provider, loving husband, father and grandfather.
Vince had a zest for life. He enjoyed cruising and traveling all over the world with family and friends. Vince played amateur Jai-Alai for ten years and loved shooting pool with his buddies. He had a passion for gambling and loved the challenge and thrill of Craps and Black Jack. In his spare time, Vince loved reading and exploring information online on the computer.
Vince served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 as part of the medic unit. As a veteran he is honored for serving his country. However, by friends and family members, Vince is honored for all the joy he brought to those around him. Vince passed away on July 16, 2012 at his home in Cooper City, Florida. Services were held at Forest Lawn Home South. Vince was laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South in Davie, Florida.
Vince will always be remembered lovingly for his smile, witty remarks and his warm generosity.
