William Albert Devlin

Bill was born on April 14, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late John Anthony and Josephine Devlin. Beloved father of William A. Devlin (Beth), Timothy M. Devlin (Christine), and the late Christine J. Devlin. Grandfather of Danielle Devlin-Ely (Jonathan), Rachel Devlin, Destinie Devlin-Adams (Bryce), Brittany Bennett Edwards (Brock) and Danny Devlin. Great-grandfather of Camden, Zoey, Aubrey, Tanner, Marley, Piper and the late Nicholas and Darby.

Brother of Mary Miller, Jon Devlin (Theresa), Gerald Devlin (the late Mary), Catherine Hathaway (Gary), Edward Devlin (Hee Sun), Dorothy Evans (John), Deborah Bean (Charles), and Margaret Santaniello (Lester). He is also survived by many nieces, great- nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and faithful friends.

Bill grew up in Philadelphia and moved to Florida in the late sixties after proudly serving in the US Navy, Navy Reserves and the National Guard. He had a long career at Florida Power & Light for 33 years until his retirement. He was a well-informed sports enthusiast with a special passion for baseball, loved to cook, watch classic movies and travel. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him….his charming smile and fun-loving nature is something that will never be forgotten.

Bill wished to be cremated and his ashes dispersed at sea. There will be a private celebration of life with military honors at a later date. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
