I work third shift at the WH. For years in passing we would share a quick dark quip of our distaste, for the daily grind... the last time I saw her... was the first time since we had all been back to work. 

I was excited to tell her she reminded me so much of this character in this awesome show I had just binged watched while off.

She was very pleased... "finally a comparison I like " she said! 

"Oh April is a total compliment." I insisted "A little dark beautiful weirdo" 

Then we parted ways . I made one last joke to Ruth (whom I adore) as Alissa feigned our usual disdain of clocking in. 

Maybe watching the show and seeing the character could make you smile a bit in this horrible time. 

My Pretty, where do I start.
. YOU were born and Tio Alex and I were threw the roof excited. You were first to make us Titi and Tio.  You stole my heart...  As you got older you played the clarinet  "because of sponge bob" and I played it to.  My love for music Your love for music and the depth of a song . Then the first time I heard you sing at a live event my heart melted and I cried because it was beautiful . I loved knowing we had several common interest . My Pretty oh how I miss you. I wanted to send a funny text to you yesterday  only to remember there are no cell phones in heaven.  Just like the poem I wrote for you, Heavens a little sweeter. We love you always and in our Hearts forever you will be.



Alissa, through elementary and middle school you were one of my closest and most dear friends. All the laughs, tears and wonderful moments we shared will never be forgotten. To see how much you blossomed in high school and college was such an amazing thing to see. You touched the hearts of so many people and once people knew you, they were changed forever. 

Your memory will live on, miss you so so much. 

Your essence is defined by the way you make people feel I think, the imprints you leave on the planet, and the people in it. People will forget most things, but not how you made them feel. Alissa always made me laugh, even without trying, she was so funny. She always told me  I was pretty, made me feel good about myself. She was so tough, yet delicate all at once. Great job Becky.  You raised such a wonderful, compassionate, kind, sweet soul. The planet is truly at a loss. It's never goodbye, always see you later. It was a blessing  to have known such a bright soul. <3

Alissa although I only knew you for a very short while you where an amazing young lady. So sad to have heard this news. I always admired you. Working and going to school. You were inspiration to people, showing them all things were possible. I could feel the love that radiated from you friends and family at work. May you Rest In Peace beautiful angel.

Words cannot even describe how sad I am... we had so many amazing memories together ♡ talking about k-pop and who our bias were, talking about hot men from animes and even talking about how awesome japan is... You always made me smile... Rest in peace beautiful angel ♡

My best memory with Alissa was when we would work on the weekends her as a Waitress and me as Door Corp and she or me would put money in the jukebox and she would put Queen Bohemian Rhapsody and she would sing and plus her and Mariah Carey song's and I would put a Selena Gomez song and she would get mad and she would laugh she had a beautiful voice. It hurts me knowing that I wasn't there to tell her Good-bye but I know now that she's in a good place with no more pain and I know I will see her soon in heaven because I just found out that my cancer that have in the bones is getting worse and that my doctor told me I only have 7months to live that means I will get to see and hug her again I love you Alissa may you be with God sweet friend of mine ......

Alissa, thank you for the great memories I will treasure. The memories of you singing, playing the bass clarinet, beating me in arcade games, and talking about future goals. I loved sharing pictures of our dogs, and the long hours on the phone. I’m glad music brought us together, I’m thankful for that.

You said that you just wanted to live free, peacefully, and with pure love. You were strong, fierce, and intelligent.  You just wanted to enjoy being with your loved ones, dogs, and puppies. 

 Thank you for everything, I will miss you and keep you in my heart. It was a pleasure to be your friend... God bless you, and your family.

Sweet little Alissa. I have many moments in time that include you. Having been a part of some of your Birthday Celebrations the things that come to mind are how much Love surrounded you. Both family and friends. The Karaoke party was one of my favorite! I got to hear your sweet angelic voice up close and personal. I particularly remember one of our last conversations. You shared several Ruby stories and then teased your Mom about them. It was funny watching the dynamics of this humorous moment between Mother and Daughter. Sweet girl you left too soon and left me mad at myself thinking I had time... 

Ive been crying since ive heard i cant believe it😭😭😭....my heart is really hurt. Alissa was the coolest sweetest person ive ever met ... She always wanted to be a helping hand no matter the situation i remember when i was going through suicidal thoughts and i called her and she stayed on the phone and just let me. Vent and cry Too her   and im still here today all because she listed...... I even remember the time we both pulled an over night shift at waffle house and she saw that i wasn't really getting any tables and she was so sweet and kind to let me take some of her tables that's just the kinda Generous kind Woman she was ...this really breaks my heart but i know shes finally at rest and at peace .....i love you alissa thank you for being so sweet and kind to me ❤💜💜💜💜❤❤💜❤💜❤💜 fly high baby girl ❤🌸

I met Alissa when she was around 14 and I got the chance to watch her grow from a teenager into the beautiful young lady she was, i would always joke with her and say she was like Daria but the truth is she was one of the nicest girls with the most beautiful soul.  I will always remember her goofy little facial expressions, her beautiful curly bangs, and even just watching her eat rice with chopsticks as she sips a hot tea at the buffet. The world lost a good one when she left. She will be deeply missed

Alissa was such a kind and sweet person. I didn't know her for that long but she was always a pleasure to be around. I loved her since of humor and pretty smile. I will miss her dearly. My heart hurts for her loss. 

Dear Alissa's family,
I so enjoyed having Alissa in my Anatomy & Physiology I and II courses at FGCU. She worked incredibly hard in these rigorous science courses. Alissa sat in the front row in lab and always made faces at me. (which I enjoyed!) I attached a photo that I took of her when we were learning the muscles by sculpting them with clay. 
I loved her spirit and personality. She never let her illness become an excuse for her schoolwork. Alissa was friends with her lab partner and a leader among her peers. She shared with me that she was a Make-a-Wish recipient. When she struggled in Anatomy and Physiology II with her illness, she would just put her head down in class and listen. I want you to know that she never missed class. I was always very proud of the work she did. I hadn't talked to her in the last year. My heart goes out to you as she is a very special girl.

I am so sorry for your loss!! Alissa was such a sweet girl I met her when her and my daughter where in band in high school together.. She was one of my band kids..  us band moms always called them our kids!! Praying for you and your family for peace..

Dear family of Alissa:

I don't really know what the family is truly going through but I just want to say that I know this will be extremely hard for those who knew her best and that for us to lose her is heartbreaking. But we must celebrate the times of when she was still with us, she was a bright and beautiful soul and I am glad that I called her my friend.
