Angela Bowling, 51, of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Angela was born on May 12, 1970. She is survived by her children Tamara (Joshua) Sanders and Timothy Schmidt; her children's father Aaron Schmidt and his daughter Julia Schmidt; her grandchildren Jakob, Jaxon, and Jaylin Sanders, Ridley and Aralyn Schmidt; her parents Tommy and Jane Bowling; her brothers Tommy Jr. and Samuel Bowling; her sister Amanda Bowling and fiancé Jake Bain; her nephews Azlan Mathurin and Eli Bain; as well as many dear relatives, friends, and coworkers.
Angela was a beloved mother, grandmother “Mimi”, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend of all, and childhood forever friend of Pattie Isom (Albert Ray) Holeman. Angela was born in a missionary hospital at Bongo, Longonjo, Portuguese West Africa. She was a special baby, child, girl, and woman. Her young years were spent in Hustonville and Mount Salem, Kentucky; Sunflower, Mississippi; Homestead, Florida; and then Lehigh Acres, Florida, where she made her home.
A gifted musician, she played the piano before she had formal lessons. She read and composed music and played the piano from her soul. She had a magnetic personality and a fun “let-your-hair-down” side. She loved all kinds of music to include: gospel, country, pop, classical, reggae, and some of you might not know she loved classic rock and heavy metal tunes.
Angela had a perfect command of the English language. She was close to completing her degree at Florida Gulf Coast University, where she also worked as an Enrollment Specialist in the Scheduling Department. Her writings are exemplary and compassionate. She approached every assignment wholeheartedly. Her professors openly praised her work in front of her peers and other classes. She was called a “Quiet genius” and “brilliant intellectual .“ The university honored her with a Posthumous Bachelor's Degree in Arts. Angela was soft spoken, gentle, but articulate and insightful. She was a listener and did not talk over anyone. If you knew her, you wanted her company. She was a joy to be around, a true gentle spirit. She was someone we should all want to emulate. Her heart was pure. She loved us unconditionally, never complaining. She had a genuine lifting laughter and beautiful smile. When you were loved by Angela you were truly touched by an Angel. Above all, Angela is a child of God and now she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She has left her legacy with us. Beautiful Angela, we will miss you so very much. We all love you and honor your life.
