Billy Jim Love

He married Leta Draffen on June 24, 1961 in Paducah, KY. Bill and Leta lived in Ft. Myers, FL for 60 years, where they loved the weather and being near the water.

Bill was a member of the Gulf Coast Church of Christ where he served as an Elder and led singing for many years. Bill enjoyed music, fishing, and watching all sports. He especially loved Kentucky basketball (Go Big Blue)!

Bill loved spending time with his family and his family admired his faithfulness, patience, kindness, humility and gentleness. He continues to be loved by all.

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Leta; his daughter, Sherri (John) O’Connor of Suwanee, GA; his son, Brad (Amy) Love of Franklin, TN; his daughter Carol (Mike) O’Connor of Suwanee, GA; 7 grandchildren, Erin, Taera, and Maci O’Connor, Kayla (Matt) Hughes, Kaitlyn Love, Emily and Nicholas O’Connor. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Love of Knoxville, TN.

The family will receive friends at the Gulf Coast Church of Christ, on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
