Brenda Wester Propps, age 72, of Fort Myers Florida passed away on January 2, 2026 in the loving care of her son Jason Wester, daughter Julia Wester, and the dedicated memory care team of Dublin Village in Dublin, Ohio. Brenda was born on September 30, 1953 in San Diego, California to Aaron and Hazel Howze.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 15 years, George Propps, her father Aaron Howze, and sisters Paula Dillon and Trisha Salisbury.
She is survived by her children Jason Wester and Julia Wester, her daughter-in-law Sheena Wester, her mother Hazel Howze, her sister Janice Zarick, her husband George’s children, Angela Duncan, Brenda Kelley, and Carla Hyde, and her grandchildren Riley Wester and Owen Wester.
Brenda lit up any room she entered. She loved drinking coffee, reading a good book, and sitting by the water, especially if she could do all three at once. She also loved traveling. She went on countless cruises with her late husband George and traveled Alaska and Europe with her daughter Julia. More than anything though she loved her friends and family and would take any opportunity to spend time with them, and to share their lives and any ups and downs. She particularly relished being a grandmother and cherished every moment with Owen and Riley.
Brenda graduated from Hialeah High School before completing an associate’s degree at South Florida Community College. She later went back to school to complete her bachelor’s degree in accountancy at the University of South Florida. She was always proud of having returned to complete her degree shortly after her daughter Julia was born and was always grateful for the community that helped make it possible for her to pursue her dreams while being a great mom. Brenda worked in accounting at the General Electric Company and then later in accounting and payroll for Gartner, Inc.
Brenda will be remembered for her warm and generous spirit. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
The family would like to thank the incredible care team at Dublin Village in Dublin Ohio. The kindness and care they showed Brenda and her family were always extraordinary.
