

Dave was devoted to his family and was a true friend to many. He accepted Jesus as his Savior when he was 10yrs. old and kept that faith all of his life. He was a member of First Assembly of God and served as an usher for many years. He also helped establish a satellite church in Cape Coral. FL.
Dave is survived by his wife of 36 years, Debra Koerner Carroll, his two daughters Athena (Jade) Camera, and Christina (Iain) Crichton, and their mother Gina Jordan, two granddaughters Gianna Camera and Faith Japczyk, and grandsons Gavin, and Garrett Crichton. Dave was known to his grandchildren as "Poopah."
Also surviving are his mother and step-father Robert and Evelyn Stears and step-mother Gaila Carroll, sisters Teresa Edison and Diane (Tom) Langan and brother Rick (Cindy)Carroll, half-brother Baron Carroll and his mother Evon Peterson, his half-sister Aprilee-Carroll Osborne, seven nieces, five nephews and numerous extended family. Preceeding him in death were his grandparents Willie and Martha Brock and Paul and Anna Mae Carroll.
Dave was energetic from birth and was an excellent student throughout his school years. He loved sports and played in Little League baseball for many years and was an avid bowler. In later years he played slow pitch softball on his church league until he was 50, and enjoyed working out in the gym.
Beyond high school he earned a certificate of four years completion of Automatic Sprinkler Apprentice Training. He worked in sprinkler fitting for 10 yrs, for Budget Car sales in maintenance and auto detailing for 21 years, and completed his working years with DebonAir Mechanical as a warehouse manager and deliverer of equipment to technicians in the field for 10 years, retiring in 2023. He then moved to Noblesville, IN to be near his daughter Christina and her family.
