

David Sean Dowdy, devoted husband, father, and family man, passed away on December 15, 2025, after battling leukemia for three weeks. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 22, 1970, and after graduating from Windsor Missouri High School in 1989 he served four and a half years in the US Air Force. David later graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2000 with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy.
David married Lisa Marie Francis on June 8, 1996, and in early 2000 began his career in physical therapy in Macomb, Illinois treating patients. David relocated to the Kansas City area in 2002 to treat patients and to manage individual clinics, where his career progressed to managing a group of clinics. David and family relocated to Fort Myers, FL in 2018 for David to accept a management position with a national physical therapy chain. In 2019, he became the Chief Operating Officer of a startup company in Chicago, where he began acquiring and developing a network of physical therapy clinics that has since expanded to nineteen locations. Until his passing, David commuted between Fort Myers and Chicago weekly as the Chief Operating Officer for Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers in Chicago, Illinois.
David was a devout Christian and attended the McGregor Baptist Church. His passions outside of work included golf, snowboarding, trap shooting, hiking, fishing, and adventurous travel to the Rocky Mountains or beach destinations. David loved sports, the outdoors, and adventure.
David is survived by his soul mate and wife, Lisa Dowdy, daughter Jadyn Dowdy, his father Charles “Tom” Dowdy and wife Linda Dowdy, brother Christopher “Chris” Dowdy, brother Charles “Pepper” Dowdy, stepbrother Eric Thurman, father-in-law William “Bill” Francis and wife Judy Francis, grandmother-in-law Dorothy Francis, brother-in-law Tony Francis and wife Rhonda Francis. David’s beloved son, Noah William Dowdy, sadly passed away before him in October 2024.
