Dorothy L. Bress

Dorothy L. Bress was born October 4, 1940 in Ridgewood Queens, New York to Harry and Henrietta Broderick. She died on December 31st, 2022 at the age of 82.

She was pre-deceased by her husband John and survived by her sons, Tom (Heather) and Chris (Kristy), her grandchildren, Nathan, Charlie, Zachary, and her brother Tom (Joan) Broderick.

John and Dorothy moved to Lehigh in 1973 and became active and vibrant members of the parish of Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church where they hosted a prayer group which Dorothy led up until the day she died.

She was a prayer warrior extraordinaire and served as the prayer line for Saint Raphael‘s Catholic Church up until her death.

Dorothy was a loving and caring woman who was always willing to lend an ear to anyone in need. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her, especially by her sons who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park on Thursday, January 5th from 4 to 6 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, January 6th at St. Raphael Catholic Church 2514 Lee Boulevard, Lehigh Acres, FL 33971.Interment will follow in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
