Eleanor "Ellie" Fay

away on May 25, 2011, at the age of 89.

Born April 12, 1922 in Medford Massachusetts she was the daughter of Alan and Mildred

MacMillan. She graduated from Medford High School. She was the wife of Jack Fay who

died on June 25, 2010. They were married on Valentine’s Day in 1945 at the First Baptist

Church in Medford. They were married for 65 years. After her marriage she lived in

Medford for a short time before moving to Falmouth in 1946. She worked at the family

business as office manager of Fay’s of Falmouth and Falmouth Gas Co. on Main Street.

During “Ellie’s” years in Falmouth she was a member of the Junior Outlook Club, the Woods

Hole Golf Club, Waquoit Yacht Club and Falmouth Yacht Club. She also was a member

of the Town and River Cruise Club and Royal Palm Yacht Club in Fort Myers.

Ellie and Jack spent many winters on Sanibel Island before moving to their home in

Fort Myers.

She leaves behind two sons, John J. Fay and Robert A. Fay, his wife Gloria, all of Falmouth;

granddaughter, Christina and great grandson, Dominic of North Port, FL. She also leaves

her siblings; Donald MacMillan of North Reading, MA. ; Marjorie Bennett of Medford, MA;

Barbara Stewart of Rockport, MA; Janet Neal of East Falmouth, MA; and Roberta Robinson

of Venice, FL.

A Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2011 2 PM to 4 PM at Kiser Funeral Home
