Hijino “Kenny” Torres, 49, of Fort Myers, passed away on February 14, 2026, in his hometown.
Born on May 5, 1976, in Fort Myers, Kenny was a lifelong resident of the community he loved. He was known for his strong work ethic and spent many years working in fiberglass fabrication — a tough and often “itchy” job that he handled with determination and pride.
Kenny had a playful spirit and was a true jokester at heart. He loved making people laugh and bringing smiles to those around him. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent together. He especially enjoyed playing Fortnite on PlayStation with his nieces and nephews, creating memories filled with laughter and friendly competition. In his downtime, Kenny also enjoyed relaxing with a glass of Patrón tequila or a Corona beer.
He is survived by his loving mother, Maria Torres; his siblings, Maria Tavarez, Delia Fraire, Jose Pillar Torres, Felipe Torres, Maria Pascual, and Teodora Godinez; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Torres, and his brother, Alberto Torres Jr.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Jesus the Worker Catholic Church. The service will be followed by inurnment at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park.
Kenny will be remembered for his humor, his hardworking nature, and the deep love he had for his family. His laughter and lighthearted spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
