JoAnn was born August 3, 1950 to Pearl and L. Hamilton. She moved with her cherished husband Leon Elston to Ft. Myers, FL in 1971.
JoAnns’ life would seem too short to some, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. JoAnn enjoyed singing, socializing, and going to movies and dances with friends. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She could spend hours gardening and redecorating or talking to family and friends while sharing their joys and lightening their sorrows.
JoAnn is survived by her loving daughters, Sharita, Betina, and TeMearra and her siblings Ozell Hutchins and Leonard Hamilton. She moves on to meet her recently departed husband Leon Elston and mother, Pearl, in heaven.
