John Edwin Dick Jr.

John E. Dick, Jr, 87, passed away on March 8, 2026 at Cypress Cove at HealthPark Florida in Fort Myers. He was the loving son of John E. and Julia (Mitro) Dick, Sr born in Lorain, Ohio. John married his high school sweetheart, Esther (Traxler) Dick, in 1962 and enjoyed 64 happy years of marriage. Survivors include Esther and daughters Diane Komives (late Dale) of Fort Myers, Florida and Julie Graham (Daniel) of Battle Creek, Michigan. Grandchildren are Sarah Graham of Huntington, Indiana, Stephen Graham of Lansing, Michigan and Mark Komives of Fort Myers, Florida.

John was a graduate of General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) and spent 31 years as an executive with Illinois Tool Works. In retirement, John and Esther traveled the world by cruise ship and visited over 50 countries making many wonderful memories. For 25 years, summers were spent at Port Clinton, Ohio on Lake Erie boating and fishing.

The family would like to thank all the staff at The Cottage and The Lodge of Cypress Cove and Hope Hospice for their loving care of John over the last 3 years.

Visitation will be held at Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919, US, on March 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at HODGES-KISER FUNERAL HOME, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33919, on March 13, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Interment will be at Garfield Cemetery in Sheffield Village, Ohio.
