Joyce Roberta Smith

Joyce R. Smith, age 74, of North Fort Myers, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014. She was born on May 11, 1939 the daughter of the late Bob & Pauline Martin and stepfather Howard Washburn. She was involved with the Boy Scouts of America and sang in the choir at the North Fort Myers United Methodist Church. Joyce retired from the News-Press after working over 10 years.

She is survived by her husband, Willis K. Smith; son, Kenneth H. Smith (Crystal wife) ; grandchildren, Kenneth H. Smith , Jr. and Savannah Klingerman; sisters, Joanne Johnson (Bernard husband), Barbara Segal (Harris husband) and Elaine Hinkle; and nieces, nephews & friends, Steven Braden, Linda Waters, Lisa Fuller, Christi Schitea, and Jack (Lucky) Hinkle, Jr. Her memory will live on in all those who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, Florida 33913, on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 1:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm, at the funeral home.
