

Willie Maude Jeter in Fort Myers, Florida. When Buck was 17 years old he flew out to San
Antonio, Texas, and joined the United States Air Force. After he served his time, his military
journey continued to the Navy where he served for 3 more years. At the end of his service, Buck
accepted Christ as his Savior when he was 26 years old at First Church of the Nazarene 2 years
after the Lord spoke to him while he was aboard the USS Saratoga. In 1963, Buck married the
love of his life, Janice Elaine Warren. To this union was born his only child, Mark Jeter.
Buck received his formal education from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee,
where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. From there, Buck earned
his Bachelor’s of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1971. Years
later, Buck attended Nova University where he earned his Master’s degree in Supervision and
Management in 1981. Throughout his adult life, Buck served as a pastor in Jacksonville beach
and Lehigh Acres for 5.5 years, served as a member of the US Navy construction battalion as a
Seabee, served as a Lieutenant Commander of the Civil Air Patrol, and lastly retired from Sprint.
Buck Jeter departed from this world on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 88 years old. He lived a
life devoted to his family, friends, and most importantly his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Janice, his son Mark, his brother John Wesley, his
daughter-in-law Dorothy, his granddaughters, his great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and
beloved friends.
