

Marilynn Jeanne Mann Savage Maher, 87, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on October 24, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, Marilynn lived a rich, full life defined by boundless love for her family and an exuberant sense of humor.
Marilynn was the loving wife of Patrick Maher for 46 years, who survives her. She was the devoted daughter of the late Herbert and Minerva Mann, and sister to Shirley (Dean) Burcroff and Doris (Rudy) Jonczy who preceded her in death.
Marilynn’s heart belonged to her family. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children Douglas (Janie) Savage, Beth (Ray) Segler, and Jeanne (Kurt) Van Buren, her grandchildren Meryl (Timothy) Balkus, Nicole (Chase Elliott) Segler, Shayna (Michael) Irvine and Joseph Savage and great grandchildren Taya, Brynn and Lawson Balkus and Charlotte and Ivy Irvine.
A large part of Marilynn's early life revolved around Bearing Service, a company her parents founded in Detroit. Her first husband Shea Savage (deceased) worked at both raising their three children and was the second owner of Bearing Service.
Marilynn earned a BA in Teaching from Madonna College in Livonia. She earned her Silver Life Master from the American Contract Bridge League (duplicate). Her fascination with genealogy reflected her deep appreciation for heritage and history. Marilynn also enjoyed traveling, shopping, golf, bowling and painting.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to all who loved and supported Marilynn, particularly the compassionate caregivers at Larsen Health Center at Shell Point, and the private nursing team from Belkis and Liubi. Their care and kindness brought comfort and dignity to Marilynn in her final days.
Marilynn, may you find eternal comfort and peace with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Rest in peace beloved. Your love, laughter, and light will forever be remembered.
A visitation will be held on November 22, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, located at 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on November 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm followed by a graveside service.
