With immense love in our hearts and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate Randall (Randy) Scott Faber—a man who shared laughter, kindness, and unforgettable antics with all who knew him. Randy passed peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of wit and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Born on April 30, 1962, in Summit, New Jersey, Randy was the eldest of three sons to Wallace (Wally) George Faber and Lois (Struble) Faber, both of whom preceded him in passing. From an early age, Randy’s magnetic personality and playful charm lit up every room he entered.
After relocating to Lee County in his teens, Randy graduated from Cypress Lake High School in 1980, where he wrestled competitively, served on the Senior Board, and was a spirited member of Student Government. His classmates honored him with the title of Court Jester—a fitting tribute to his infectious humor and ability to lift others’ spirits. Randy remained deeply connected to his CLHS classmates, attending reunions with enthusiasm and cherishing lifelong friendships.
In April 1987, Randy met the love of his life, Jennifer Lee Patter. Their bond was instant and enduring. He proposed just eight months later, and they married on December 16, 1988, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned nearly four decades.
Professionally, Randy found joy in his work at Sanibel Rental Service, where he became a partner and later the sole proprietor. For over 34 years, he served the residents and visitors of Sanibel and Captiva Islands with generosity and good cheer, building lasting relationships and becoming a beloved figure in the community. Even after Hurricane Ian brought closure to the business, Randy’s spirit remained resilient, and he was thankful for his lifelong career.
Randy’s love of sports, whether watching, wagering, or playing, was well-known. In 1989, he joined friends on a golf trip to Minnesota that blossomed into a cherished annual tradition lasting 36 years. These gatherings were much more than golf; they were celebrations of camaraderie, laughter, and the enduring power of friendship.
Randy is survived by his loving wife Jenn, his brothers Steve and Chris, his nephews and nieces Jeremy, Callie, Caden, and Kinley, and his brother-in-law Jeff. Each will carry forward his legacy of humor and the simple magic of making others smile.
A celebration of Randy’s life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel Island from10:30 am – 1 pm, with words of remembrance at 11:30 am. Friends and family are invited to attend to share fond memories and photos, creating a lasting tribute to the man who made every moment brighter.
