Robert George Morrow

Bob worshipped at Crossroads Baptist Church in Fort Myers; where he was a charter member. He proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was Past Master of Noah Lodge #357 F&AM, and Past Patron of Fort Myers Chapter #31 OES. He was a member of the Araba Shrine Temple, and was a member of the “Cyclops” motor cycle unit for many years. Also, he was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed playing the harmonica with “The Stringers,” a southern gospel group. He served as the Republican State Committeeman for his Florida district in the 1980s. He actively served in the North Fort Myers Kiwanis for many years.

Bob was the owner of Morrow Insurance Agency in North Fort Myers from 1964 until his retirement at age 90. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was serious when necessary, but he had a warm and wonderful sense of humor that would light up a room with his rolling laughter. No one could quite tell a story or joke like he could. One of his greatest joys was making hand-made birthday cards for all his family.

Bob was predeceased in death by his wife Ina Watson Morrow, his son Robert Michael (Mike) Morrow, Sr., his grandson Robert (Robbie) Michael Morrow, Jr, his parents George and Mildred (Bauder) Morrow, three brothers and three sisters, and one great grandson.

He is survived by his sister Marilyn Morrow, his children, Theresa (Ed) Henry, Eileen (widow of Mike) Morrow, Kevin A. (Vicky) Morrow, Sr., Cecilia (Lee) Rucker, Carmen (Phil) Pedley, and Cathi (David) Poole, his 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913. A graveside service will occur Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
