Ruth B. Metcalfe

Ruth will be remembered for her warm heart, vibrant spirit, and remarkable green thumb. She had a special gift for making anything grow and flourish, whether in her garden or in the lives of those around her. Ruth also had a love for fashion and enjoyed expressing her style with elegance and flair. In her free time, she found joy in traveling, baking, golfing, bowling, and playing cards with family and friends.

Above all, Ruth treasured her family. She is lovingly survived by her children, Sherry Metcalfe, Sandra (Rick) Franklin, and Michael (Michelle) Metcalfe; her grandchildren, Justin (Tatiana) Franklin, Jordan (Jamie) Franklin, Chelsea (Daniel) Middleton, Nick (Melodie) Stephens, Nathan (Kelsey) Stephens, Zack Davis, Eber Heath, Shawn (Cassidy) Metcalfe, and Brooke Metcalfe; and her 19 cherished great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald, in 2024; her parents, Frank and Gertrude Felton; and her sister, Mary Schmidt.

Ruth’s family will hold private services to honor her life and memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
