He graduated from Whitmer High School and attended The Ohio State University, followed by a tour with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He married his devoted wife, Jeannine, in 1951 and they enjoyed 69 years of marriage.
Tom is survived by his wife and his children, Thomas (Casey) Thompson, Cathy (Paul) Lovallo, Doug Thompson, Nancy (Don) Jillisky, Carolyn Fowler, Greg (Barb) Thompson, Lori Thompson, and Andy Thompson, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Tom and Jeannine relocated to Cape Coral, FL. in 1980 where he founded Evans Service Cleaning company until he retired.
Tom was the founder and proud member of The Optimist Club. After the birth of his ninth child, dad was quite proud to relate that he was asked to resign his membership with Planned Parenthood! He never missed a chance to throw out a one-line zinger. No one told a joke like he did, understated and soft-voiced. “Thanks for talking to me.” “Come back when you can stay longer.” “Button up your shirt, your heart is going to fall out”.
There will be a Funeral Mass at 11 am on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Church of the Resurrection, 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919.
