Trena Jo Nipper, a loving and devoted wife of 56 years, mother, grandmother, and sister, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 75 in Fort Myers, FL.
Trena was born on August 13, 1949 in Vinita, OK to Joseph and Ethel Madison. She was a woman of warmth, kindness, strength and grace. She devoted her years in pursuits that enriched both her personal and professional life. Always driven by the values of compassion and integrity, she will be remembered for her unrivaled generosity, gentle spirit, open arms and unwavering commitment to her family and friends. Whether through her kind words, thoughtful deeds, or quiet acts of courage, she left an imprint on the hearts of many and inspired all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She looked forward to every holiday, birthday and celebration and approached each with an abundance of love and excitement, but none brought her as much joy as Christmas. She lived for this holiday, making sure her tree was dressed just right and took the time to make sure that not only did she have the perfect gift for each person, but that it was wrapped with love and perfection. If you asked her what she wanted, her response would always be, I need nothing, just to have my family and see them happy.
Throughout her career she was an accountant in different industries and become a tax preparer for so many throughout the years. In 2009 she achieved a lifelong goal and earned her master’s degree in accounting. This was a profound personal accomplishment for her and one she worked extremely hard to achieve.
In her younger years, she would have lots of road trips with her parents while sitting in the back seat with her brother enjoying the sights. In high school she was encouraged to join a play and was given a lead part, prompting her to come out of her shyness. She would join the marching band and would take many trips out of state. Through her mother and grandmother, she would learn the art of sewing inspiring her to make her own wedding dress. She spent her free time going on adventures with Toby, cooking, painting ceramics and sewing numerous clothes for her girls over the years. She always immersed herself in all activities her kids were involved in which were many, always being their biggest supporter and fan. In her quieter moments as life settled, she enjoyed reading romance novels, playing games, and watching holiday movies.
She is survived by her husband, Toby Nipper; daughters: Tina (Philip) Timpner and Tiffany (Chris) Skapin; grandchildren: Randi (Adrian Rodriguez) Lewis, Aaron Nipper, Rachel Conner, Preston Timpner, Victoria Timpner, Skyler Skapin, Willow Skapin, Rhys Skapin and Poet Skapin; brother, Mike Madison; niece Murrie Torrelio. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Janie McKisick and her daughter, Tracy Nipper.
Visitation for Trena will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park 12777 State Road 82 in Fort Myers, Florida on Saturday, June 7h at 11am visitation and funeral service at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Alva Cemetery in Alva, Florida. Reception will follow at Buckingham Community Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request memorial contributions can be made in Trena’s memory to The Children’s Tumor Foundation.
As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the beauty of her journey and the profound impact she leaves behind. Trena’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
