Catherine A. Beattie

Polly was born on June 8, 1937, in Salinas Kansas

She married Charles (Chuck/Todd) A Beattie on May 10, 1958. They were married almost 50 years when Chuck passed away in 2008. Polly was predeceased by sons Craig and Todd. From Salinas – she moved to Alden and Buffalo NY before moving to Hollywood, FL and then onto Vero Beach, FL

She began her career in Vero Beach working at Woolworths. She worked for many years at several Publix locations in Vero Beach in different departments but especially loved her time in the floral department working with flowers and designing floral arrangements.

Polly was an avid tennis player and loved to play doubles. She rarely missed watching Wimbledon and other major tennis tournaments and enjoyed watching PGA tournaments.

She had fun playing Bingo and won frequently but found pleasure in assisting others by pointing out missed #’s on their bingo cards.

After retirement she volunteered in the front office of Calvary Chapel Vero Beach and later served joyfully in the children’s ministry. Polly shared her lovely soprano voice honoring her Lord and Savor through song and worship in the CCVB choir.

Polly will be missed by relatives, friends, and her Calvary Chapel church family.
