

Harold was born to Weiss and Bessie Bennett on August 9, 1921 in Bridgewater Township of Pennsylvania. They moved to Cortland New York when he was a young boy. Harold also lived in McGraw, NY with his beloved wife Wanda Bennett and their children until 1973 when they moved to Vero Beach, FL. Harold was a Carpenter by trade and a World War II Veteran serving in the Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Wanda J. Bennett, his daughter Linda J. Bennett, his son David J. Bennett (Julie) all of Vero Beach, FL, Step-son James P. Haley of McGraw, NY and Step-daughter Beth M. Haley, Polk City, FL and a sister Beulah Alger of Norwich, NY. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his daughter, Susan G. Salce and several brothers and sisters. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Lynniece Haley-Farenga, Tina Batsford, Joe Salce all of New York and Brittanie and Kayla Bennett of Vero Beach, FL, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
Harold was actively involved in his Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and he was also actively involved and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Vero Beach, FL.
The Services will be held graveside at Aycock Hillcrests Funeral Home on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11:30 am. A reception will follow at his church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3960 12th Street, Vero Beach, FL.
