Harry was the 12th of 19 children born to the late Martin and Eveleen (England) Tuttle. He grew up in Limerick and Limington and attended local schools. In 1952, he joined the Marines and was a member of the 1st Air Wings and served in the Korean War.

In 2004, when Hurricanes Frances and Ivan destroyed many homes in the neighborhood but not his, he spent long days helping his neighbors recover.

He loved red hot dogs, but they were not available in Florida. When he visited Maine for his granddaughter‘s high school graduation party, he ate 17. He was proud of his family’s accomplishments, especially his granddaughter Whitney for following in his military footsteps.
