Jim grew up in Malden and often talked about his childhood there and his time working in the Company Store at J.Q. Dickinson Salt Works. He graduated from DuPont High School and later served his country honorably in the US Air Force. Most of Jim’s career was spent as a Fire and Rescue Officer for the City of Miami FL. He also owned a successful Trucking Business and several Rental Properties in Jensen Beach FL, along with his wife Florence “Flo” who preceded him in death in 2012. Jim was also preceded in death by his sisters Nancy, Ernestine, and Louise, and his brothers Jack and Corky. He is survived by his sisters Lois Spurlock and her husband Ardie of Cartersville, GA, Carol Smolen and her husband George of Anderson SC, and his brother Mike Albert and his wife Mary Lou of Winfield, WV. He also has many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was a kind and generous man with a keen sense of humor and a funny and “fun loving “ demeanor. Although we will miss Jim greatly we are comforted to know that he is now at peace with his heavenly father. Rest in peace, dear brother!
