Jane Elnora Sorensen

Jane was born in Orange, NJ to Helen and James T. Albert. Jane lived in Cleveland, OH, West Simsbury, CT, and New Providence, NJ before retiring with her husband Skip to Vero Beach in 1993. She made friends easily and was active in each and every community.

She held various positions within the banking industry and her husband’s business. She frequently volunteered holding various positions in a wide variety of organizations and boards. Jane’s interests included golf, where she made a hole in one at Canoe Brook Country Club, reading, traveling, and playing bridge. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Palmer “Skip” Sorensen, her brother James “Bud” Albert, and her parents.

Jane is survived by her children; Jeffery Swagger of Delray Beach, FL, Jon Swagger (Carol) of Nashville, TN, Martha Countegan (Dale), of Farmington Hills, MI, Lisa McKeown (John) of Flemington, NJ; Richard Swagger of Nashville, TN, and Mark Sorensen (Theresa), of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren Michelle Ring (Karl), Catherine Swagger, James Swagger, Carolyn Countegan, John McKeown, and Kelly McKeown.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2012, from 2 to 5 pm, with a funeral service at 11 am on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
