Joan Mary Carter, 70 of Fort Pierce, returned to her heavenly home on April 25th surrounded by her beloved family. Born March 7, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of John and Ann Westenberger.
Joan was a committed wife who adored her husband. Her kind heart, infectious smile and contagious laugh touched everyone she met. She was a selfless, dedicated mother and doting grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life whom she loved dearly. She will always be remembered and cherished by her family and all who had the privilege to know her. She was very blessed with an incredible and loving family.
Left to honor Joan and remember her love are her husband of 35 years, Frank Carter; her 2 children and spouses, Michael Mycko and wife Patty Mycko, Christine DiCarlo and Rich DiCarlo; 4 grandchildren, Kailee Mycko, Matthew DiCarlo, Logan DiCarlo, and Mya DiCarlo; she also had 2 step-grandchildren, Rowan Carter and Daniel Smith; devoted sister, Ann Heap-Helveston, 2 brothers, John Westenberger Jr., Joseph (Donna) Westenberger, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
