John W Jones

He had been a resident for Fort Pierce for just five months. He was predeceased by his parents, James Samuel and Diane Rollande Brodeur Jones and first wife Sandra McCoart Jones of 27 years. John was a 1966 Graduate of Chicopee Comp in Chicopee MA.

Prior to his retirement John was a Parts Manager in the automoti9ve industry and counterman for heavy trucks in Massachusetts and Oklahoma.

He was a volunteer sports announcer for the Holyoke High School & Dean Tech for more than 20 years. He believed in and loved those kids and wanted them to believe in themselves. John loved the Oklahoma Sooners, the Red Sox, and the New England Patriots. He loves sports, ballroom dancing, woodworking and working on his model boats.

John is survived by his wife Suzanne Myers Jones of 14 years: sons Chuck Jones of Vero Beach, FL, James Jones and wife Sue Jones, of Windsor Locks, CT and Mickey Jones of Windsor Locks CT; daughter Joanna Cordes and husband Jeffrey Cordes of Orlando, FL; stepson Allen Myers and wife Cecile Myers of Belchertown, MA and stepdaughter Barbara Collins and her husband Richard Collins of Belchertown, MA. He is also survived by sisters Mary Ann Hallman & her husband David Hallman of Ninety Six, SC; Shirley Marshall and husband John Marshall of Norman, Oklahoma and good buddy and cousin Leo Dalbec and wife Dottie Dalbec of Chicopee Falls, MA. John has 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial sevrice will take place in Holyoke, MA at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the football sports programs at Holyoke High and Dean Tech High Schools in Holyoke, MA 01040.
