Leslie was born in Fort Pierce on February 5, 1937.
Leslie served in the US Army with distinction and was part of the first cavalry and 82nd airborne divisions . He retired as a sergeant first class in 1974. After his military service, he provided for his family working as a truck driver.
Leslie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn (2019) and their son Kenneth (2001). He is survived by his children: Diana K Dobson (Darrell) and David A Drawdy Sr (Eliese). His grandchildren: Felix R Douglas, David A Drawdy Jr., Shawn M Drawdy (Rachel), a great granddaughter Raelynn Drawdy, his sister, Dallas Drawdy (Barbara) and many other family and friends that loved him.
A graveside service will be held on a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce. The family will host a celebration of life following the service.
