Great Grandmother to Bella, Kaitlyn, Jaylin, Deborah, Jada, Ruby, Charlotte, Nikia and Brooklyn
And a good friend to many, many more
Our Mom was a beautiful, smart, strong and determined woman, not afraid to try new things or change old ways.
Mary was adventurous, she loved to travel making trips with Dad to wonderful places like Greece, Ireland and Alaska.
Her strong faith helped her through the ups and downs of everyday life.
She never tired of learning and making herself a better person, getting her bachelors degree in 1974, embarking on her teaching career.
She loved to have fun, making time for us all as a family on summer vacations, endless trips to the beach, Broadway plays in NY City to name a few of the memories she left us with.
We all enjoyed her sharing her sweet tooth with us, a freezer full of ice cream and little chocolates in some surprising places.
She loved music, how else would we know the words to just about every Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Andy Williams song ever written. Her and Dad were great on the dance floor.
Mary was a loyal friend, staying in touch with old-time friends as well as making new ones along the way.
Thanks Mom for the many things you taught us and all the things you did for us.
Because of you we love the beach, music, singing and dancing.
We learned to always try our best and not give up.
You taught us to value family and friendships.
We understand the importance of doing the right thing for the right reason.
Always remembering to be grateful for what we have, appreciate what others do for us and say please and thank you.
