Olive Norwell (nee Thomas) was born Nov 20, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. She was married to Alexander Norwell on May 3, 1947 after his return from World War II. Alex predeceased her in 2000 after 53 years of marriage as has her brother Arthur. Olive is survived by her 2 sisters Joan Seward and Lorraine (Bill) Short as well as her 6 children Fran (Skip) Ryder, Nancy Cammarota, Linda (Gary) Kelly, Janet Norwell, Joe (Roberta) Norwell and Pat (Bob) Stepanian. She also is survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Throughout her life she had lived in New York and New Jersey before retiring to Florida with Alex. Olive held many jobs and titles throughout her life, but her favorite was always mothering her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She passed away on August 10, 2023 at age 96. Olive’s Memorial Mass will be held at 10AM on Nov 9, 2023 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Ft Pierce, FL. There will be a short graveside service at 11:30AM on Nov 11, 2023 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Ft Pierce, FL.
