Ruth was a wonderful women and a very wonderful sister. We will always miss her. We feel bad that we did not see her more often. May she rest in peace.

They say their final goodbyes while you and Bill watch over them with love and kindness. I only met you once Ruthie. It was the week before you left this world. Even in your final days I say the warm hearted lady that was my sisters best friend. You laughed and joked with me and told me not to get cancer. You carried your mischievous nature with you until the end. I am thankful that you were such an amazing friend to Kim. With sadness we say goodbye and look forward to seeing you when our time comes.

Ruth will be missed by all that knew her.  She was a warm, lovely person.

Aunt Ruth and Uncle Bill were our favorite aunt and uncle on Chet's side of the family.  Ruth was one of 12 children, 6 boys and 6 girls, (1 girl died about 2 yrs. old).  My dad, Orville was her oldest brother and they remained close until his death in 1993.

On their many trips "here and 'yond" they often came through Atlanta.  The first time I recall is when I was 12.  I never expected to become as close to her and Bill as I did through the years.  They were to be an important part of the lives of me, my wife, Patsy, and our two sons, Scott and Greg.

Ruth was the "Kisling lifeline".  When anything happened to any sibling, niece or nephew Ruth would always call my mom and dad, then, later, she called us.  If we hadn't heard from Bill or Ruth in a while we would call and check on them.

We enjoyed their visits to our home and our trips to their place.  First Patsy and I took my dad, Orville, down after my mother, Viola, passed away. They lived on the beach side then.  Later just Patsy and I visited them in their current home.  We spent many hours laughing and talking.  More laughing than talking. Each visit was always memorable. Greg and Carolyn currently live in Brooklyn and they were planning another trip down this Spring to visit Ruth.

When Ruth told us she had cancer, we planned to go down after the holidays.  She just wasn't strong enough to last, though we think she was ready to join Bill.  She had been alone long enough.  As someone else has said, they had a special love.  As we pay tribute to this awesome lady, we know we will miss Ruth.

Ruth and Bill were among the earliest of our friends at the UU Fellowship's beginning. Bill ate breakfast faithfully with the men in the Fellowship and was among the last friend to visit Paul before Paul died, when he was in the hospital in Vero Beach. I saw Bill and Ruth many times in their home when she was his devoted nurse and mate. Joan

Bill and Ruth Karpf were really in class of people that is very rare.  They truly had one of those "love stories to end all love stories."

I met Ruthie two years ago when i was hired to clean her house,i thank god every day for that chance opportunity that quickly blossomed into what we termed a mother-daughter relationship.We learned that we had a lot in common.I will truly miss all the laughs,talks,lunches,dinners,and shopping excursions.I always considered Ruthie to be a very intelligent lady with a heart of gold.I will love her for all eternity!!

We visited with Ruth for several days last year.  We had a wonderful time with her.  Sharon will miss the many phone conversations that they had over the years.  We will miss her very much.

Bill and Ruth were lifelong dear friends of my parents, Charles (Andy) and Helen Anderson. I have admired Ruth since I was a child back in the 1950s. My sister Pat and I visited Ruth a few months ago. She was her usual cheerful and warm self that day as we three had a lovely luncheon outing, chatting about the good old days and our shared memories. I had the honor of working with Ruth for 11 years at the United Way of Indian River County. She shared three mornings each week with us as our front desk receptionist. Ruth was invaluable and knew more than most of us "staff" did! She was the constant in our office and always greeted us with a smile. Thank you for your time and talents, Ruth.

Ruth was a wonderful woman and I'm so sorry to hear of her death.   For 20 years she was a fantastic volunteer for the United Way of Indian River Co., and earned our highest recognition for her extraordinary service.  I hold the fondest memories of her.  Michael Kint, CEO United Way of I. R. Co.

I worked with Ruth at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach when she kept membership computer files up to date and I was the church administrator.  She was great to talk to and work with.  My warm condolences to the family.

Mike and I are sorry to hear of the recent passing of Aunt Ruth.   
Mike and I have memories of her visit with Uncle Bill when we were stationed in the south ..... We were young newly weds a long way from home and they made a point to come and take us out for a visit and dinner ..... It was nice and took away some of our homesickness from our families back in California 
I'll always remember that kindness ....
May those who were close to her be comforted from God our Father
