

Born in Caribou, ME she has been a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for the past 11 years.
Prior to retirement, she worked for Veterans Realty in Fort Pierce, FL. Violet was a volunteer with Treasure Coast Hospice and formerly owned a thrift store in Fort Pierce, FL. She worked in the medical field and enjoyed sewing, knitting and doll making. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Fort Pierce, FL.
Survivors include, daughters, Mavis and husband Orin Keys, of Fort Pierce, FL, and Phyllis Steklof, of Lake Worth, FL, sons Roland L. Shepard, of Eatonville, WA and Charles M. Shepard, of Caryville,FL and Nephew, Duane Walton, of Caribou, ME, several nieces and nephews, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Regina Stiller, first husband, Charles Shepard and second husband, Charles Serritella, brothers, Raymond, Donald and Phil Walton.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Community United Methodist Church, Fort Pierce, FL from 10:00-11:00am with a service to follow at 11:00am.
Interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL.
Arrangements are under the care of Aycock funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL.
