Born in Newark, NJ he has been a resident of Vero Beach, FL for the past 7 years, and was a 49 year resident of Fort Pierce, FL formerly of Hillside, NJ.
Walter was United States Army veteran, serving in World War II. Prior to retirement, he owned a taxi company in Hillside, NJ. After moving to Florida he worked for Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach, FL for 15 years.
Survivors include, wife of 63 years, Grace Warren, of Vero Beach, FL ,4 nieces, Kelley Ann Earle, Beverly Warren, Donna Derrick and Kathy Milburn.
Memorial contributions may be made to any charity of choice.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach at 11:00am, with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL.
Arrangements are under the care of Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL.
