On Monday, November 5, 2012, Dick Barton, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK and formerly of the Crosthwaite Community, SK, beloved husband of Margaret Barton, died at the age of 94 years. The funeral service will be held in St. John’s Anglican Church, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK, on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment of cremated remains in the Kelliher Cemetery, Kelliher, SK, on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Predeceased by his parents Ella and Arthur Barton; sisters: Olive Wood, Jane Misfeldt and Mabel Ast; and son-in-law Bob Matton. Dick is survived by his wife Margaret; children: Bob (Jacquie) Barton, Yorkton, SK, Sharon (Julian) Slywka, Fort Qu’Appelle and Lois Matton, Guelph, ON; seven grandchildren: Cameron (Susan) Barton, Lloydminster, SK, Wade Barton (Kelsey), Saskatoon, SK, Michelle (Lonnie) Mercredi, Lloydminster, AB, Allyson (Shane Dziad) Slywka, Viking, AB, Rita (Richard) Wallace, Toronto, ON, Darryl Matton (Janelle), Oromocto, NB and Jane Matton, Brampton, ON; five great grandchildren: Cole Barton, Alexander and Erik Mercredi, Avery Dziad and Peyton Matton; sisters: Vera Striker, Agassiz, B.C. and Ceola (Bob) Clayton, Bremerton,WA, U.S.A. and brother-in-law Ed Ast, Fort Qu’Appelle.
