Glenda Onrait

She was born on October 10, 1935 and grew up in a loving home together with her dad Berton, mother Edna, brothers Harvey and Gordon and sister Phylis. All of whom she loved so dearly and has now been reunited with. She cherished growing up in her small hometown of Duff and it always held a very special place in her heart.

Glenda touched the lives of so many, leaving behind a wide circle of loving family and friends who will miss her deeply. She was known for her sharp mind and memory. She was compassionate, loving and kind. But most of all, she was strong.

Mom loved farm life and cottage life at Sandy Beach. She loved nature and being outdoors. She was a passionate gardener and always had beautiful flower beds and pots at both the farm and the cottage. She loved animals, especially her last cat, Rascal.

We were all so grateful to celebrate her 90th birthday on August long weekend 2025.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters-in-law Gina and Arlene; children: Barby, Lori (Earl), Howie and Allyson (Scott); step-daughters Debbie (Terry) and Jeannie (Evan); grandchildren: Chad, Bradley (Cheryl), Lance (Carly), Kari, Katie (Shantoy), Michelle, Joseph (Tayler), Nicholas (Cherrise), Brendan, Henry, Emmerence, Nicole (Jeff), Lee (Caroline), Clark (Jen), Dion (Tyler), Drew (Terrol); great-grandchildren: Owen, Declan, Isabelle, Adelyn, Nia, Amari, Elijah, Kais, Emilie, Duncan, Vincent, Kenzie, Tanner, Conner, Caleb, Eden, Cameron, Josie, Daxton, Kyden and Neve.

Besides her loving parents and siblings, Glenda was predeceased by her husbands Norman Tressel and Lawrence Onrait; daughter Donna; grandson Leo and her brother-in-law Dwayne Hite.

A private family funeral mass will be celebrated in St. John's R.C. Church, Balcarres, Saskatchewan on Saturday, November 22, 2025 with Rev. Augustine Ebido. A public celebration of life for Glenda will take place in the Balcarres Lions Hall on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
