Gordon was a devoted farmer in the Qu’Appelle area for over 60 years and was raised with a deep respect for the land. He dedicated his life to farming, embracing organic practices long before they were widely known.
Above all, he was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His family meant everything to him and he took great pride in watching it grow. His lessons of hard work will live on through them. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him, including his loyal companion Princess.
Gordon was predeceased by his loving wife Hilda and his parents Clarence and Mary.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Greg (Colleen) and their children: Ariel (Lyla and Jasper) and Nicky; Gwen (Greg) and their children: Jessica (Matthew) and Adam (Ebonie) (Colton, and Elizabeth); Jen, and her children: Autumn, Elijah, and Chantelle (Lydia). He is also survived by his brother Robert (Lorraine) Hamblin and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Echo Lodge in Fort Qu’Appelle for the wonderful care that Dad received over the past couple of years.
As per Gordon’s request a private family interment will take place on May 15, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, donation in memoriam may be made to the Regina Humane Society, 4900 Parliament Ave., Regina, SK S4W 0T7.
