John Peigan

"Kisikaw Pisim Kihew" - Sun Eagle

John was the first son of Sheldon and Linda Peigan and he spent the majority of his life on the Pasqua First Nation. He was born November 17, 1989 in Regina, Sask. and began his journey on December 23, 2020 in Regina at the age of 31 years old.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents James "Jackman" Peigan and Mabel Peigan (nee Keepness) and his maternal grandparents William Trauter and Gladys Trauter nee Okeeweehow.

John leaves behind his loving son, Isaac Blake Peigan; common law partner Santana Nagy; his Mom and "Pops", Linda and Murray "Sheldon" Peigan of Pasqua First Nation; siblings: David (Stephanie) Peigan of Regina, Lacy (Jamal) Peigan of Calgary, AB, Sheldon (Bailey) Peigan of Regina, Rebecca Peigan, Matthew Peigan and Bryson Peigan of Pasqua First Nation; uncles James "Baldy" Peigan and Warren (Kathy) Trauter; aunties: Donna Toto, Mildred (Tom) Cappo, Joan Davidson, Gayle (Mike) Peigan and Carol Lavallee; nephews Brolin and Hendrix; nieces: Brayla, Harper and Senshira and his "cuzzins" too numerous to mention but will always be in our hearts.

There was a viewing on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in Tubman Funeral Home, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK. The funeral was held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Interment will be held in the Peigan burial site, Pasqua First Nation.
