On Tuesday, February 20, 2024 our son, father, brother, grandfather (Mo), nephew and friend lost his courageous health battle and left to the Spirit World with family surrounding him at the age of 47.
Predeceased by mosom Orville Peigan in 1998; dad Les Goforth in 2001; uncles: Dave, Rod, Lorne, Rodney and Shawn; aunties: Merle, Anita, Annette and Florene and little brother Clay in 2007.
Langan leaves to mourn his mom Monica of Regina; sister Mandy; brothers: Cree, Justin and Jared; children: Kobe, Sienna, Lane and Cole; mother of his children Robin; precious grandgirls: Ellieanna, Paisley and Ezzy; grandparents Glen and Joyce Goforth; grandmother Jean Peigan; best friend Zelda; special friend April and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Langan was a world Ambassador humbly representing First Nations Peoples through his love of dancing Fancy within the powwow circle and he travelled throughout North America and Europe. First dancing as a toddler Traditional then following his dad he began dancing Fancy at the age of 8. With his business education he worked as cultural liaison at the U of R and later as a outreach worker for the Phoenix Society.
Langan absolutely adored his granddaughters and grandparents. His love for his family is what kept him fighting in his health battle.
Sitting with him at his grandparents residence house #8 on Peepeekisis First Nation on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. The wake was held in the Peepeekisis Pesakastew School on Friday, February 23, 2024 beginning at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service was held in the same location on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with elders officiating. Langan was laid to rest by his dad in PPK West End Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Jason Agecoutay, Terrance McNab, Aubrey Goforth Jr., Sim Thunderchild, Skyler Anderson and David Anderson. The honorary pallbearers were Cree Goforth, Les Michel, Delvin Stanley
Evan Taypotat, his powwow circle family, File Hills, Wooden Face and Big Bear singers.
