It is with great sadness that our families announce the sudden passing of our beautiful Sensheera Miyoskimin. Sensheera was a traditional Pipe Girl, now she is dancing in the spirit world with the Creator. She was predeceased by her great grandparents: Ivy and Frank Koochicum, Celina Kahnapace, Moshum George Poitras and brother Michael Poitras Jr. She is survived by her grandparents: Alma Poitras, Paul Sr. and Margaret Koochicum; her parents Mike (Gwenda) Poitras and Paulette (Mike G.) Koochicum; sisters: Larissa Thompson, Reannon and Sapphire Koochicum; aunties: Ruthann (Rick), Rita (Denny), Velma and her family, Evelyne, Diane (Todd), Angie (Less); uncles: Wayne (Debbie), Brian (Nicole), Paul Jr. (Sunshine) and Don (Devine); nieces Kendra and Kamaeh; nephews Anthony Poitras and Quddus. Sensheera is also survived and will lovingly be remembered by her cousins, friends and whomever she touched with her kind spirit. The funeral service will be held in the Whitecalf Gymnasium, Lebret, SK. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Traditional Elder John Stonechild presiding. Interment in the Poitras Family Cemetery, Peepeekisis Cree Nation, with a Traditional feast to follow at the Okanese Learning Centre.
